Feel Good Gloucester!
Rather than spending your lunchtime eating a sandwich at your desk, why not pop over to King’s Square in Gloucester City Centre on Friday 28 June. Members of the public can enjoy free yoga classes (at 12-1pm and 2-2:45pm), whilst you can also have fun and get fit with free Zumba workouts (1-2pm and 3–4pm). Some yoga mats will be available, or you can bring your own. Take the Smoothie Bike Challenge with the Gloucestershire Bike Project and create your own FREE pedal-powered, delicious and nutritious drink. Find out about the excellent work this social enterprise does from restoring bikes to encouraging more people to cycle to work. Gloucester BID are also supporting Beat the Street Gloucester 2019, which sees the return of the fun game that encourages families, friends, classmates or workmates to put in the miles running, walking, or cycling around Gloucester. Active Gloucestershire, organisers of Beat the Street, will be on hand to talk about other campaigns and initiatives you can get involved in including Gloucestershire Moves, The Daily Mile and the Workplace Challenge. You can chat to Healthy Lifestyle Gloucestershire and learn how small changes to how we live can have a big impact on our health and wellbeing. Whether it’s connecting with people, being more active, mindfulness, volunteering or learning, you can find out how to make a positive change and take charge of your own health and wellbeing.
